Photography Assistant Opportunity

I’m looking for a photography assistant to help on interior and architectural shoots. No prior photography experience is required. The main things I’m looking for are reliability, a good attitude, and the ability to carefully handle and move equipment without damaging client homes. Being easy to work with and bringing a positive attitude on long shoot days is just as important.

I typically have 3–5 days shoots a month where I need an assistant (sometimes more or less depending on the schedule). Shoot dates are usually known about 3–4 weeks in advance.

You’ll need reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia), with occasional opportunities for further travel if you’re open to it.

The primary need help with hauling gear and assisting with lighting setup, so you should be comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. Shoot days can be long, typically 8–10 hours.

Pay starts at $25/hour (1099 contractor), including travel time to and from shoot locations.
