About Me
I’m Brian Distad, an interiors and architecture photographer based in Annapolis, Maryland, serving the DMV and Mid-Atlantic region.
I create editorial and commercial imagery for interior designers, architects, builders, and brands, helping them showcase the spaces and stories that define their work. My approach focuses on using lighting to shape the mood and atmosphere of a space, creating images that feel both intentional and authentic. I also build cohesive sets of images that strengthen your portfolio and tell the story of your design through consistent tone, texture, and light.
I studied photography and video production at Salisbury University, where I built a foundation in visual storytelling that continues to guide my process. Before photography became my full-time career, I worked in public service in a technical role as a programmer and project manager. That background shaped how I approach my work today, combining creativity with structure, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
When I’m not on set, you’ll find me at home with my wife and our three kids, two adventurous boys and a sweet little girl, soaking up family life and the occasional quiet moment.
